Cover Letters

Cover letters should be submitted with every resume that you submit. Along with your resume, their ultimate purpose is to try and secure you a job interview.

Cover letters should be well-written, identify the position to which you’re applying, briefly call attention to key aspects about your background and enthusiasm, and request an opportunity to discuss your skills in more detail.

We will explore how to write effective cover letters and examine how to personalize them to suit the targeted job. In this exploration, we will consider:

    • Structure of a solid cover letter
    • Guidelines for modifying cover letters to suit the job posting
