We have a diverse team of skilled professionals who are highly qualified and experienced in secondary and adult education, career guidance and return-to-work programs. Our team is passionate about education and the pursuit of a satisfying and rewarding career.

Ability Alliance wants to empower others to fully explore their career aspirations. We have many years of expertise in administering and interpreting assessments, providing career counselling and delivering job search training programs. We are able to offer a complete range of individualized assessments and career guidance, post-secondary program exploration and job search preparation.

Our Certified Educators, Vocational Professionals and Employment Specialists all maintain their certification within their regulating/governing bodies.

Farid Jenabieh
Farid Jenabieh, B.A. CPA, CNE. Director

Farid is a well-established and respected business leader and educator in the Durham area, and is a co-founder and Director of Ability Alliance of Canada.

Farid has taught at number of community colleges in GTA, and managed several successful companies, and worked for leading organizations such as the Ministry of Housing of Ontario and the Swiss Bank of Canada. As a President of Durham Business & Computer College from 2003 to 2011, Farid's initiatives and commitment to quality in education helped establish DBCC as one of Ontario's most respected and successful private colleges.

Mr. Jenabieh's commitment to education and community lay behind the decision to co- found the Ability Alliance of Canada in Toronto. Concerned about a gap and the importance of decision making in education, Farid partnered with leaders in the field to provide a career planning and assessment services.

Farid and his team share a clear and definitive vision for the organization, built upon a commitment to personalized service and accountability. Through a comprehensive program of career assessment and exploration students are guided to embrace future opportunity. By doing so, the goals of the individuals are set, areas of improvements are identified and the financial and strategic considerations are being analyzed.

SUSAN A. BATES
Susan A. Bates,R.R.P., C.V.P. Director of Operations, QA

Susan Bates has over 20 years experience as a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist. She began her career with Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (formerly known as Workers' Compensation Board), assisting injured workers to return to the workplace.

Subsequently, Susan continued her vocational rehabilitation career in the short-term and long-term disability insurance industry for about 5 years. She then worked in the Labour Market Re-entry service for Workplace Safety and Insurance Board for about 10 years. Recently, Susan assisted veterans injured or disabled while in military service return to the civilian workforce.

Susan's expertise is in identifying barriers to employment and developing plans that have proven successful in returning people to work. She is committed to ensuring injured clients receive comprehensive assessment and guidance and as such is proud to be an integral member of Ability Alliance of Canada.

J.P Larda
Jean-Pierre (JP) Larda, Hon.B.A., CAE. Director

JP spent the past 30+ years in various senior management positions in the life/accident & sickness insurance and financial services arenas. He is recognized as a highly creative, energetic and resourceful professional. JP has an enviable track record in the sales and marketing of products and services, professional development programs, continuing education, and seminars; and this both in Canada and out of country.

JP's background includes new business development, sales, marketing, education, compliance, corporate and regulatory relations, and international business.

Karleen Griffin
Karleen Griffin, B.A., B.Ed., O.C.T. Team Leader

Karleen has over 20 years experience in the Education field as a classroom instructor (working with students from JK - Adult), as a curriculum developer (for classroom and home study) and evaluator (for classroom and writing review teams).

In Vocational Rehabilitation she has worked as a case manager, job search training facilitator, quality assurance administrator, program developer and psychometrist (administering psycho-vocational and neuro-psycho-vocational assessments).

She has participated in extensive training ranging from cooperative learning and conflict resolution to vocational principles, theories and techniques.

Tracy Leigh, B.A., RRP
Tracy Leigh, B.A., RRP. Employment Specialist

Tracy is a Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist and Employment Specialist.

She is a member of the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada and holds the designation Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP).

She has 14 years of experience counselling, developing training programs and conducting employment workshops. She has a track record of success for helping clients obtain employment and is motivated to help individuals reach their goals.

Sarela Franco, B.A. Administrator

Sarela enjoys office administration and client services.
She brings more than a decade of administration experience to our company.

Sarela is responsible for co-ordinating events, planning workshops and organizing training materials.
